Currently, all the travel bookings at Engro Chemical are paper based, and very bureaucratic in nature. The two principal offices (in Karachi and Dharki) would both be employing an Intranet based (browser-front-end) application that would allow employees to file for travel booking, check status of their bookings and edit them as well. The travel department would be able to maintain a continuous log, obtain electronic authorizations, etc. and be able to full-fill the travel requirements.

"By deploying an Intranet, Engro Chemical can build up (port) their manual transactions to an automated medium. It will not be a paper less office but more of a less paper office" says Faisal Khan, Managing Director at Net Access.
